The gorgeous pictures are wealthy with concepts and inspiration, and the indepth captions reply any query you may need concerning the crops within the pictures and even the situation of the gardens. I was significantly drawn to the two top photos on web page 234 and one in every of an Agave franzosinii taken at Mission San Juan Capistrano in California (page one hundred fifty). Baldwin's writing type is delightful; easy to learn, entertaining, and informative. Clearly she is writing from experience so you already know what she says will probably be helpful and accurate. I highly suggest this book.
This is a great e book on succulents. Debra Lee Baldwin has tackled a big physique of material. She has defined it all very effectively in an interesting way. Effectively organized, nicely illustrated ,with nice images (most of which have been her personal). She has put quite a lot of work into this. It will need to have taken years of analysis adopted by years of writing to get this all put together. This not simply an encyclopedia on succulents, but a really readable remedy of the whole subject of how to use them and work with them in your individual garden. She tells you all the things you'd wish to know from propgation to pests. I am unable to say enough good things about this e book . An actual gem.
I've only lately gotten into succulents, which I find fascinating since they always appear to be they're from Mars. I can't imagine there's anyplace on this planet a greater guide on succulents than Ms. Baldwin's. It is superb. It's comprehensive; it's detailed; it is completely structured, so that the sheer quantity of data is not in any means intimidating; and the paintings alone--the pictures--are price twice what the guide costs. It seems crazy to say, but I might recommend this e book to anyone at all: gardener, pc geek, automobile salesman, anyone. In case you've ever been awed by nature, this e-book will resonate with you. It is that good. And if you happen to ARE a gardener--then holy cow, what are you waiting for?
