Reward for The Beekeeper's Bible:

"Jones and Sweeney-Lynch clarify the science and society of bees in clear, accessible language. And the recipes are admirably helpful: honey scones, honey soap, honey hangover cures. 'Oh, stuff and fluff,' as Pooh would possibly say. Dip a paw into this richly satisfying quantity and you will not need to do stoutness exercises." -The New York Instances “Lip-smackin’ throughout, The Beekeeper's Bible is, at its heart, a glorious invitation into the depths of the honeybee hive.” -Chicago Tribune “An amazing compendium of information, lore, information, suggestions, methods, and advantages of getting bees in your life-whether or not you choose to keep a hive yourself, enjoy the by-products, or simply appreciate these fantastic creatures for all that they contribute to our human ecosystem.”

That is probably the 8th e-book on Beekeeping that I've either bought or borrowoed; and I like it! It truly is a tome; it's about 2.5 inches thick, heavy as a brick, and is chock filled with infinite information. I will admit that I haven't read it cover-to-cover; as an alternative, I've loved going to the Table of Contents, choosing the topic I needed to read, and flipping via to learn the information. Since that is how I take advantage of it, I can let you know with certainty that it's organized well. Whether or not it is bees in mythology, honey and bee merchandise, recipes, or practical beekeeping, what you are searching for is simple to search out and well laid-out. It's actually thoughtfully organized when you're bee-deep in the chapters as well.

The photographs are fantastic...a queen hatching?! Unbelievable! I especially liked the a number of pages illustrating seasonal blooming crops for bees (useful for this former city woman that may't establish a palm tree from a maple!). That helped me determine a late-season pollen source for one in all my hives. There are additionally photos of assorted shades of honey, charts that describe the assorted honeys' nation of origin, identify, color, taste, etc. Each kind of honeybee is illustrated and has its personal web page, devoted to its traits, geographical origins, behavior patterns and more. It sounds educational in a evaluation, however on this ebook, it's captivating!

I would recommend this e-book for anybody from a "newbee" to an experienced beekeeper, to anybody excited by cooking with and making cosmetics with honey. Even should you do not maintain bees, however simply love them, it is a wonderful read. My one and solely gripe? It's printed and bound in China. BOO.

This a really nicely written book. It is nice for the newbie beekeeper. There are numerous really nice pictures and it's simple to grasp if someone is just not familiar with beekeeping. The historical data can be fairly interesting. This book offers a great deal of information and was very pleasing to read. This book makes a nice addition to any bee library and for somebody who is thinking about stepping into beekeeping, it is one of the finest books available.
